How to recover from emotional abuse: book recommendation

For professional and personal reasons, I recently read through my local library’s collection of books on emotional abuse. Some of the titles were dated, although still recommended - like Why Does He Do That?: Inside the minds of Angry and Controlling Men, by Lundy Bancroft.

My favorite book of the collection, however, was Healing from Toxic Relationships: 10 Essential Steps to Recover from Gaslighting, Narcissism, and Emotional Abuse, by Dr Stephanie Sarkis. The book encompassed the multiple types of abusive relationships, from romantic relationships to workplace harassment. The tone was frank and empathetic.

Recovering from emotional abuse can bring many challenges - but this book offered practical steps on how to progress towards a better life and find healing.
